Recto, old mount, inscribed in brown chalk (crayon), JOOS, or JODOCUS MOMPERT. Bornin 1580 - No mention is made of the place of his nativity, nor of the Master by whom / he was instructed. He studied nature and became a considerable painter of landscape.
